Five Nights With Voxels

Five Nights With Voxels is a fan-made horror experience inspired by the mechanics of Five Nights at Freddy’s, reimagined in a distinctive voxel-style world.

Story

You play as a newly hired night guard at a small, mysterious entertainment venue. The job sounds simple: monitor the cameras, keep the building secure, and survive each shift. However, something feels wrong from the very first night.

The animatronics—blocky, expressionless figures made of voxels—don’t stay on stage after hours. They begin to move. Slowly at first, then with clear intent. They roam the halls, approach your office, and react as if they are aware of your presence.

Trapped in a dim, claustrophobic office, your objective is straightforward: survive five nights. In practice, it becomes a tense test of focus, timing, and composure as the animatronics grow more aggressive with each passing hour.

Surviving the Night

Your goal is to last from midnight to 6 a.m. without being caught. You cannot fight back or escape—your only tools are observation, timing, and resource management.

You must monitor security cameras to track animatronic movements, switching between rooms to anticipate their approach. When danger gets close, quick decisions are essential—closing doors or checking blind spots at the right moment.

Every action consumes power. Doors, cameras, and lights all drain your limited battery, forcing you to balance safety with conservation. Panic leads to waste, and once the power is gone, so is your control.

The difficulty ramps up steadily. Early nights introduce the mechanics, while later nights demand sharper reactions and stricter discipline. Small mistakes quickly become fatal.

The game also features a Custom Night mode, allowing you to adjust animatronic difficulty. This adds replay value and lets you tailor the experience—from controlled tension to near-impossible chaos.

Controls

  • Mouse / Cursor: Navigate cameras and interact with doors and lights
  • Click Actions: Open or close doors, switch camera feeds
  • Camera Panel: View different rooms and track animatronic positions

Atmosphere and Design

What sets Five Nights With Voxels apart is its visual identity. The voxel art style may seem playful at first, but it quickly turns unsettling. The rigid, blocky animatronics feel unnatural—almost uncanny—especially when they move in the darkness.

Lighting plays a crucial role. Dim hallways, flickering camera feeds, and shifting shadows create constant tension. Combined with minimal sound cues and sudden jumpscares, the game builds fear through restraint rather than complexity.

Strategy Tips for Survival

  • Check cameras efficiently: Don’t linger—gather information quickly
  • Use doors sparingly: Keep them open unless necessary
  • Learn movement patterns: Animatronics follow logic—observe and adapt
  • Stay calm under pressure: Panic wastes power and leads to mistakes
