Overview
Diep.io is a minimalist yet highly competitive multiplayer .io game that blends action and strategy into a dynamic 2D battlefield. Players control a circular tank equipped with a cannon, navigating a vast arena filled with geometric shapes and enemy tanks.
Despite its simple visuals, the game offers deep customization and tactical gameplay, making every match intense and unpredictable. The objective is straightforward: destroy shapes and opponents to earn experience, level up, and evolve into more powerful tank classes. However, survival requires more than just shooting—it demands awareness, planning, and adaptability.
Core Gameplay
You start as a level 1 tank and gain experience by destroying polygons such as squares, triangles, and pentagons scattered across the map. Each shape grants points, helping you level up and unlock upgrades.
As you progress, you earn skill points that can be invested in eight attributes, including health, bullet damage, reload speed, and movement speed. Your choices shape your playstyle—whether you prefer a fast, high-damage attacker or a durable, defensive tank.
Every 15 levels, your tank can evolve into specialized classes such as Twin, Sniper, Machine Gun, or Flank Guard. These can later upgrade into more advanced forms, each offering unique abilities and combat advantages.
Game Modes
- Free For All (FFA): Every player fights independently to survive and achieve the highest score.
- Tag: Players are assigned to teams and convert opponents by eliminating them.
- Maze: Tight corridors create opportunities for ambushes and close-range combat.
